2010 Annual Award Nomination Information
THE DEADLINE FOR NOMINATION APPLICATIONS TO BE SUBMITTED IS Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at 2 p.m. ALL AWARD CATERGORY NOMINATION FORMS CAN BE ACCESSED BELOW.
ANNUAL AWARDS WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE 2011 INSTALLATION BANQUET ON
Saturday, November 13, 2010 at the Hampton Roads Convention Center.
- All nominees must be VPAR members
- Nominations can be submitted by any member of VPAR
- Members can also nominate themselves
The nominee must have been licensed during the calendar year beginning
January of the year in which the award period initiates. The nominee
must be a member in good standing. The purpose is to recognize the
REALTOR® who is new to the profession, who promotes professionalism,
generates enthusiasm, and best exemplifies the Code of Ethics of the
National Association of REALTORS®. This is an individual award that
is not open to teams. If your nominee was initially licensed at any
date between January 1, 2009 through December 2009 he/she is eligible
for this award. In addition, the nominee should have met the following
criteria:
- Demonstrated professional knowledge.
- Participation in association activities.
- Demonstrated service to clients.
- Has demonstrated professional sales performance. A minimum of 12 total transactions is required.
- Demonstrated civic involvement and/or community service.

This prestigious award given annually by the Virginia Peninsula Association of REALTORS® (VPAR) provides and opportunity for VPAR’s Awards Committee to honor the REALTOR® who best exemplifies the Code of Ethics and the Professional Standard of the National Association of REALTORS®. The nominee should have met the following criteria:
- Participation in Local, State and/or National Association activities, meetings, conventions, and committees.
- Demonstrated REALTOR® enthusiasm by encouraging good real estate practices among peer and general public.
- Demonstrated professionalism by public recognition of business conduct and service to clients.
- Participates in service to the community, clubs, organizations, etc.

The Life Membership Award is the highest honor the Virginia Peninsula
Association of REALTORS®, Inc. (VPAR) can grant to an individual.
The Award honors the REALTOR® who is currently a member of VPAR and
has served the Association for a minimum of 40 years and has served
the association either as an officer or director of the Charitable
Foundation or VPAR Board of Directors for three or more years.

This Award is intended to honor an Affiliate member for his or her
service to the Virginia Peninsula Association of REALTORS®, its members,
and/or the general public. The Affiliate must have been an active
member for at least two years and provide information on activities
with VPAR, the community and service to the real estate profession
and their own profession.

The REALTOR® recipient of this award will demonstrate a proven interest in the subject of REALTOR® professional standards, such as a willingness to counsel and advise individual REALTORS®, brokers, and sales associates on real estate problems; participation in Board and Committee activities; participation in courses in REALTOR® character and integrity; professional Real Estate designations. This category is open to brokers and sales associates who are active REALTOR® members of VPAR.

The REALTOR® Manager recipient of this award must have served his/her firm in a Brokerage Management capacity which includes Sales Manager, Office Manager, and Owner/Brokers directly managing a sales or office staff.
The nominee should have met the following criteria:
- Demonstrated professional knowledge and education.
- Participation at local and state level of the association.
- Demonstrated civic involvement and/or community service.
- Specific examples of how the nominee is effective on the job, ability to implement programs and solve problems.

The recipient of this sales award must have shown a superior quality
of service to clients and customers, have a broad range of professional
knowledge and/or experience, and participate in local association
and civic activities. The nominee must provide a sales activity report
based on volume as 100% of the sales price of the property, whether
or not it is co-brokered. Information must be from 2009 through 2010.
This award is for individuals.

The recipients of this sales award must have shown a superior quality
of service to clients and customers, have a broad range of professional
knowledge and/or experience, and participate in local association
and civic activities. The nominees must provide a sales activity
report based on volume as 100% of the sales price of the property,
whether or not it is co-brokered. Information must be from 2009 through
2010. This award is for teams.

The recipient of this award must have shown a superior quality of service to clients and customers; have a broad range of professional knowledge and/or experience; and be a member in good standing of the Virginia Peninsula Association of REALTORS®. This award is for individuals. Managing Brokers are ineligible unless they operate a sole proprietorship business.
