Starting off the golfing year, sunny Orlando hosted the 6th annual Kingdom Cup. The event, presented by Arnold Palmer's Kingdom Magazine and held at the famous Bay Hill Club & Lodge, featured major sponsors, advertisers and supporters of the magazine, all with a common goal of raising money for charity. Occurring one week prior to the Arnold Palmer Invitational, the course was in pristine condition for all 72 participants to enjoy.
Through the format of better ball pairs, players hit the course using the infamous orange scorepads. In its second year working with the Kingdom Cup, the global leader in live golf scoring, VPAR, once again added thrilling excitement as participants were able to see the scores in real-time as well as supporters following remotely in the clubhouse and online. In a tremendous effort, the winning two-some brought home an impressive score of 13 under par.
An awards ceremony and gala dinner capped off a great event, celebrating Kingdom Magazine and raising over $90,000 for the Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. Graced also by the presence of Arnold himself, the event was the perfect start to the season ahead.
