Picture Perfect Real Estate: Improve your Photography in Today's Competitive Market with Free Image Editing Software Let's face it; we've all seen really poor photos in listings that don't do the property justice and very good ones that help get the property shown. Taking quality digital pictures is not as difficult as you might think. Besides getting the shots with good lighting and less clutter, you can easily improve these photos with Image Editing Software. The first thing you want to do is take more than one image of the
spaces you are shooting, this includes exterior photos, and from different
angles and perspectives. Once you have the shots, you can do some simple editing like brighten or darken, sharpen, crop, rotate, and resize. Here are a couple of great free programs you can download from Cnet for photo editing: Gimp and FxFoto. Also check out these good resizing programs available: Microsoft Power Toys for XP and VSO Image Resizer for Vista. Here in just one example of how editing software can improve your
photos by just simply brightening a dark shot.
Keep in mind that that the use of other agent's photos without written
consent is in violation of Rein's policies and is a copyright infringement.
Altering the content of a photo (removing power lines, transformers,
cropping tree's or shrubs, ect.) is also in violation, not to mention
an ethical one.
